Verses
REGRET
I am not sure when I lost you
I glance now to not see you
to sidle past
and pass through
a lonely walk to nowhere new
TO THE LOST SON
you are of me
more than you can see
your mistakes are mine
for now I am lost to you
isolated, desolate
hollow to your view
love and hate
are as shadow to the step
VACANCY
I am your home
I waited open to you
you slept alone
woke alone
to work alone
your work is for you
alone
I live now as a vacant room
filled only by the steps of our children
a cultured garden
void of light from sun or moon
I was your home
my plentiful table
our warm bed
I was warm
MY GOODBYE
life is death my darling
there is nothing I can do
our time and space
lost with gravity
there is nothing I can do
REBIRTH
you do not own what you attain
what you have holds you
creates your walls, earth and sky
intertwined they form who you are
your sense of self
the anchor to that which your inner curtain obscures
let go
a past stands still and cannot follow
